Sometimes if you update PHP, it is necessary to build PCRE again with /build pcre.

I wondered if there is a list that lists the compatibility of the pcre versions and the PHP versions.
I've heard that it's no longer necessary to build PCRE after an update, or am I wrong?

I have a client whose website is sometimes suspended for exceeding his maximum bandwidth.

However, if I look in the statistics of his bandwidth usage, I see that 85% of the traffic is coming from 95.211.203.196. But that is the IP address of the server itself?!

Is local traffic on the server itself (traffic that isn't coming from or going out on the inteet), counted towards the total amount of bandwidth used? That's not right, is it? I mean, only traffic that I have to pay for should be counted towards the total bandwidth used, right?

Am I seeing things wrong here, or is there a way to exclude local traffic from counting towards the total used bandwidth?

PS. I did search for this and in fact found a few hits that talk about this issue. Unfortunately none provided a solution, so that's why I'm asking here...

I just tried uploading a file through my file manager in DA. It failed with a message to ensure that /home/tmp is created and chmod'd to 1777.

I found a post to add

modify tmpdir=/tmp

to my directadmin.conf file and restart.

I did that but I still got the error.

I then created /home/tmp and chmod'd it to 1777

It worked find, upload successful.

However.... Is this a security risk? When hardening my server, I read many things that said /tmp should not be executable. Having it set to 1777, isn't that a risk?

When creating a new user / domain with DA, the default FTP-account that's generated at the same time, is unusable.
Under FTP-management the FTP-account is visible, but there's no checkmark-button to either Suspend, unsuspend or even delete it.

Everything up to date and I'm using ProFTP (CentOS-6).
